I wrote a great article on my blog for women today and I wanted to share it with each of you. I will just be going over the basics of that article, so make sure to check it out by clicking here. In today’s post, I want to share a video I watched in my morning devotional time. The video was Dr. Martin Luther King’s voice and clips from various rallies and his time as a pastor. The devotion was about learning to be a peacemaker. What does that have to do with love you ask? Well as I learned, love is at the heart of every peacemaker. Since I am a follower of Jesus, I discussed that the best way I can love is by receiving love from my creator, then in turn, it helps me to love God, myself, and others. I may not do this perfectly, yet I strive each day to be better. In a way, you could say I’m not only a peacemaker, I’m creating a legacy of love for future generations. I will put a link to the video from Pastor King below. As you watch it I encourage you – just like I did my readers on MDE – to think about what it means to see through the eyes of love, to become a peacemaker and not just a peace keeper, and ask yourself, “what would happen if I learned to stand in the gap for others instead of picking sides.”
